SIA has been lobbying for truth in labelling for many years, and, in particular, around the need for Country of Origin Labelling (CoOL) for seafood in the food service sector.
This past weekend, CoOL was a hot topic across Australian media, with both Weekend Sunrise and The Sunday Project airing stories about the lack of mandatory labelling for cooked seafood.
The Sunday Project approached SIA for comment regarding its investigation on fish fraud. We submitted our written comments, which have been published on The Project’s website.
