SIA National Safety Project introductory webinar

Seafood Industry Australia are excited to announce they been appointed to undertake a four-year National Safety project funded by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority – AMSA and the FRDC. The project will be led by SIA’s Wellness Program Manager Jo Marshall, who also leads our mental health and wellbeing project, Stay Afloat Australia.
The objective of the program is: to achieve a positive change in workplace safety culture to ensure that the Australian Seafood Industry ‘Keeps its People Safe’. This project will be centered around peer-to-peer engagement, acknowledging the importance of changing the culture of industry safety from the inside out. It will see the establishment of a National Safety Advocates network to strengthen the culture of safety in all sectors of the commercial seafood industry.
