Food for the Future – Aquaculture America 2023 Conference – Aquaculture professionals return to NOLA in February 2023 for the largest conference since the start of the pandemic.

Come to New Orleans for Mardi Gras and stay for this world-class conference of aquaculture professionals from February 23 to 26! The conference will feature the largest aquaculture trade show in the Western Hemisphere and record-breaking attendee numbers for the largest national aquaculture conference and exposition since COVID. Over 50 general sessions and 10 special sessions are currently in planning under the conference motto Food for the Future. In addition, the conference will feature a keynote address by science communication innovator ‘Inspector Planet’ (aka Dr. Tracy Fanara, NOAA), a major industry exposition/trade show, a president’s reception, field trips, a poster show, the famous and immensely popular live auction, entertainment, excellent local cuisine, and many annual meetings of national associations with stakes in marine and freshwater aquaculture.

In the heart of New Orleans, conference attendees can be guaranteed a fantastic atmosphere, with the conference held on Canal Street, only a stone’s throw from the world-famous Bourbon Street and the mighty Mississippi River. A limited number of hotel rooms are reserved on a first-come basis at the conference venue, the New Orleans Marriott hotel.

Abstract submission is now open to reserve your spot in the exciting speaker line up and to present the latest and greatest research in the field of aquaculture. Students are particularly encouraged to submit an abstract and participate in the many student-centered activities and networking opportunities at the conference.
