6th Australasian Scientific Conference on Aquatic Animal Health & Biosecurity

The Sixth FRDC Australasian Scientific Conference on Aquatic Animal Health and Biosecurity will be held at the Pullman Reef Hotel, Cairns. The conference provides a forum for presentation of research, diagnostic, epidemiology, management and policy issues encompassing all areas of aquatic animal health and biosecurity.

In early 2023 a second conference announcement will be circulated which will include information on the draft program, keynote speakers, registration and abstract submission.

The proposed conference program will in part depend on the range of topics received as abstracts but it is anticipated that it will include (but not necessarily limited to) sessions on:

  • Bacterial and Fungal Infections of Finfish
  • Finfish Viruses and Parasites
  • Finfish Immunology & Vaccines
  • Diseases of Molluscs
  • Diseases of Crustaceans
  • Invertebrate Immunology
  • Emergency Disease Response
  • Biosecurity
  • Epidemiology
