Stay Afloat Mental Health First Aid Training Course

25/08/2022 :8:00 AM - 10:30 AM

There are now more than 200 amazing humans of seafood who have completed the FREE Stay Afloat Mental Health First Aid training course and have the skills to support one another in those tricky everyday conversations which happen when someone is struggling, or when we’re worried about them.

We’ve made it easy to become accredited in Mental Health First Aid (MFHA). Stay Afloat’s very own Trusted Advocate Gary Hawkes makes it more relatable by using industry language, for industry people and industry examples so that the workshops are relevant to our people.

We welcome you to register your interest for our upcoming course – and encourage someone in your network – family, friend, employee or volunteer. The training is free for anyone connected to the commercial seafood industry.

The MHFA Courses involves both a self-paced e-learning component which takes 5-7 hours, as well as an online component of 2 x 2.5-hour interactive workshops over Zoom with Gary Hawkes.

  • Online Workshop  – Thursday 25th August 2022 – 08.00 am – 10.30 am (AEST – note this is Queensland time)

Please email [email protected] to register your interest if you can’t make this course, but are keen to join the next.
